Boil advisory issued for Washingtonville water customers

WASHINGTONVILLE

A boil advisory has been issued for Washingtonville water customers beginning Monday at 7 a.m. It will be in effect for two or three days because of construction on state Route 14.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is replacing culverts and lowering the main water line. During the boil alert, residents should boil their water for at least one minute before using it to kill harmful bacteria that may be in the water.

Water samples will be taken after the construction, and the boil advisory will be lifted depending on the results.
