Holy Week services begin this weekend with Palm Sunday, and Pascha (Easter) is May 1.
St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 305 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell: Palm Sunday, festal Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., and bridegroom matins at 5 p.m.; Great and Holy Monday and Holy Tuesday, liturgy of the presanctified gifts at 9 a.m., and bridegroom matins at 7 p.m.; Great and Holy Wednesday, liturgy of the presancitifed gifts at 9 .am., and Holy Unction at 7 p.m.; Great and Holy Thursday, vesper liturgy of St. Basil the Great at 9 a.m., and matins with the 12 Passion Gospels, commemoration of the institution of the Eucharist, at 7 p.m.; Great, Holy and Good Friday (strict fast day), royal hours at 9 a.m., vespers on Christ’s descent from the cross at 3 p.m., and matins/lamentations on burial of Our Lord with procession of winding sheet at 7 p.m.; Great and Holy Saturday, vesper liturgy of St. Basil the Great at 10 a.m., and nocturns at 11:30 p.m., commemoration of Christ’s descent into hell and midnight, Resurrection matins; Holy Pascha, Divine Liturgy of St. John Chyrsostom at 10 a.m., followed by blessing of food baskets and Paschal vespers at 5 p.m.; and Bright Monday, May 2, Paschal Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m.
