Anniversary celebrations

YOUNGSTOWN

The Office of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will sponsor two wedding anniversary celebrations to honor couples who are observing their 25th, 40th, 50th or more anniversaries in 2016.

Couples may register for the celebration that is most convenient for them.

The first celebration of the year will take place at 2 p.m. June 5 at St. Columba Cathedral. Couples planning to attend the June celebration should register at their parish by May 5.

The second celebration will take place at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Canton. Registrations will be accepted in September for this event.

Both celebrations will include Mass with Bishop George V. Murry, renewal of marriage vows, a personalized certificate for each couple and a reception for the couples and their families.

Ministries chapter

Paul Proctor will be guest speaker when the Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday at Elton Beard Cabin in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road. Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.

Dinner meeting

HERMITAGE, pA.

Christian Associates of the Shenango Valley is planning its annual dinner meeting May 2 at First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St. Jeff Wachter and Friends will present a musical program. Members of the board of directors will be elected. Cost is $15 per person and two for $27. Send check and name of each person to Christian Associates office, 240 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa., 16148 by April 25. Reservations by phone can’t be accepted.

Gospel music

Phyllis Jordan will release “The Time is Now” of Gospel music during a CD release party from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Celebrity Hall, 2520 South Ave. There will be refreshments. For information or a CD, call 330-540-3907.

Spring revival

YOUNGSTOWN

Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2003 Wilson Ave., will conduct a spring revival at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Speaker will be the Rev. Brandon Davis of St. Andrew’s African Methodist Episcopal Church.
