Sheriff: 2 deaths at Ohio duplex investigated as homicides

LUCASVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A sheriff’s office says the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found inside a duplex in southern Ohio are both being investigated as homicides.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini says deputies found the bodies of 83-year-old Bobby Dehart and 62-year-old Nancy Culp in the duplex in Lucasville after a neighbor called 911 about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The sheriff says the caller told a dispatcher that her husband went to check on their neighbors after he saw lights on at an unusual time. She said he saw two people lying on the floor, not moving.

A sheriff’s official today said the man and woman lived in separate parts of the duplex.

The sheriff’s office is not releasing the cause of death pending the investigation.
