HOWLAND
Ohio Star Quilters will be the host club for the North East Ohio Regional Quilters Council fall luncheon event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Howland S.C.O.P.E. Center, 8273 High St. NE.
Ginger Mangie of Canfield will present “The Art of Embellishment” and feature vintage purses in her demonstration. The free event is open to anyone learning or wishing to learn quilting and quilting sewing techniques.
Ohio Star Quilters meet at the center on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The first Wednesday is a business meeting, and the other meeting is reserved for sewing and sewing classes.
Those who wish to learn quilting skills can attend as a guest for three sessions; afterward the guests will be asked to join and pay yearly dues. For information call Karen Miles at 330-652-4268.
