Mr. and Mrs. Bob Roberts
SALEM
Marilyn and Bob Roberts of Salem recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family members from Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina and California at Pauley’s Island, S.C. Another celebration also took place in Salem.
Mr. Roberts and the former Marilyn Lenz were married Sept. 16, 1950, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Youngstown.
They are the parents of Ron (Terri) Roberts of Salem and Diane (Paul) Young of Poland. Their son, Bob Roberts, who had lived in South Carolina, is deceased. The couple’s daughter-in-law, Mary Roberts, lives in South Carolina. Six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters complete their family.
Mr. Roberts was owner and president of The Roberts Engineering Co. After retiring, he did consulting work in North Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas and Georgia. His wife was secretary/treasurer of the company and is employed part-time at Consign and Design in Poland.
