UPDATE | Struthers Middle School students return to class

STRUTHES — Students at Struthers Middle School were all safely evacuated to Struthers High School Fieldhouse this morning after reporting a smell of smoke in the building.

There was no fire identified and the cause of the reported smell has not been determined.

Struthers Superintendent Joseph Nohra, Jr. says teachers, staff and students were evacuated and they are following the necessary steps to remove the fumes from the building. He said students were set to return to the building by 12:30 p.m. to resume the school day, according to a district news release.
