Boardman Library closing for renovations

Saturday, September 19, 2015

Staff report

BOARDMAN

The Boardman Public Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave., temporarily will close beginning Sept. 28, as a renovation project continues.

The library is expected to be closed for several weeks. A reopening date will be announced once it is set.

This temporary closing was anticipated when the renovation began and is necessitated by work that cannot be done if the library is open, such as improvements to the front entrance and sidewalks, replacement of restrooms and floor work at the front end of the building.

Due dates will be extended on items checked out at Boardman Library that would have been due back during this closed period.

Extended-use fees for items checked out at Boardman Library will not accrue during the days the branch is closed.

Book drops will be available outside the Boardman Library during the closing.

As always, materials can be checked out or returned at any of the other public libraries in the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County system. The closest libraries to Boardman are the Newport and Poland branches.
