Police are looking for a motorist who struck and killed a 17-year-old boy as he walked along a street in the Northeast Ohio city of Lorain.

Jayvian Johnson of Lorain was hit Oct. 19 and died early the next day after being flown to a hospital in Toledo and then to a trauma center in Cleveland. Lorain police say Johnson was walking with his girlfriend in the street when he was struck and sent airborne into a street sign.

Police say the girlfriend wasn’t able to provide a description of the vehicle. Police are asking the public for help in identifying the vehicle and its driver.
