Burglary: To a residence in the 1700 block of Lynn Mar Avenue through a rear door. Two 5-gallon jugs containing about $4,000 worth of coins, a 9 mm pistol and a house key were taken.

Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown girl was accused of stealing a $20 phone charger Oct. 5 from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Burglary: Took place at a townhouse in the 7200 block of Glendale Avenue, from which assorted household items were removed.

Burglary: Someone entered a second-floor apartment in the 100 block of Shields Road via the front door, then stole a Sony PlayStation 4 game system, $30, a lock box and a Social Security card.

Theft: Police at the Trumbull County jail phone booked 31-year-old Christopher J. Davis of South Raccoon Road, Austintown, on a theft charge related to a May 11 situation in which an Indianola Road man reported having given Davis a $60 down payment to grind a tree stump in his front yard. Davis, however, never returned to do the work, the accuser alleged.

Arrests: While investigating a disturbance in the 4000 block of Hillman Way, authorities charged two Youngstown girls, 16 and 17, with disorderly conduct after saying the teens continued to taunt and yell obscenities at a crowd while failing to desist. The older girl also was charged with resisting arrest.

Theft: Stephen E. Hogan of Marmion Avenue, Youngstown, was phone booked at the Mahoning County jail on a theft charge. The 45-year-old Hogan was accused of stealing a $146 air-conditioning unit July 16 from Walmart.

Drugs: Authorities took custody of 59-year-old Deborah L. Reber of Southern Boulevard, Boardman, who faced a felony charge of possession of crack cocaine. An earlier investigation revealed that Reber had four individually wrapped rocks of suspected crack cocaine, police alleged.

Theft: Three people reportedly stole four pairs of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut in Southern Park Mall. The loss came to $1,000.

Harassment: A worker for a Southwestern Run Drive doctor’s office reported an irate man called and threatened to shoot someone at the business.

Misuse of a credit card: A Ron Joy Place man discovered three fraudulent purchases totaling $863 had been made with his credit card.

Theft: A Simon Road man reported a gift card and a small amount of change missing from his car.

Harassment: A township woman showed police a text message her 11-year-old daughter received in which the sender had purportedly threatened to kill the girl and her dog.

Aggravated menacing: A Kent man and a girl reported having been threatened with bodily harm while attending a football game at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave.

Theft: An Austintown girl, 17, was accused of stealing an MP3 adapter Sept. 12 from Walmart.

Theft: Police arrested a 12-year-old student at Boardman Center Middle School, 7410 Market St., on a theft charge after a family member alleged he had been stealing money from her.

Drugs: After pulling over 33-year-old Nathaniel Gainer II of Southern Boulevard, Boardman, police charged him with possession of controlled substances, a first-degree misdemeanor. Gainer had two types of prescription pills in a bottle, a report showed.

Arrest: Officers responded to a report of someone in distress before charging Pamela E. Zitello of Mathews Road, Boardman, with operating a vehicle impaired. Zitello, 30, was found passed out in her vehicle, a report showed.

Criminal damaging: A woman left a Doral Drive big-box store and noticed damage to a passenger-side tire.

Assault: A motorist told police he was punched several times during an argument with another driver in the 6800 block of Tanglewood Drive. Apparently, the assailant became angered when the accuser had stopped to avoid hitting turkeys that crossed the road, a report said.

Arrest: While investigating a suspicious person in the 200 block of Indianola Road, officers charged 26-year-old Michael T. Burkholder of Park Avenue, Struthers, with obstructing official business. Burkholder, who also was wanted on two Youngstown Municipal Court warrants, provided a false date of birth, authorities said.

Stolen property: Kevin D. Cartwright, 28, of Carter Circle, Boardman, was arrested at the Mahoning County jail on a felony receiving-stolen-property charge after a man discovered several items, including an electric guitar and a flat-screen TV, had been taken from a bedroom at his Old Oxford Lane residence.

Employee theft: Michael T. Snovac, 26, of Oles Avenue, Poland, surrendered after a manager for Dunkin’ Donuts, 7635 Market St., alleged a worker had stolen an undisclosed sum of money from the business.

Theft: A man left Buffalo Wild Wings in Southern Park Mall without paying his $37.32 food bill.

Theft: A Salem man noticed his $600 cellphone missing while at a Boardman movie theater.

Domestic violence: Shane J. Van Nest, 19, was taken into custody at his Forest Park Place home on a warrant after his mother alleged the Boardman man had sent her a series of text messages in which he threatened to harm and kill her.

Theft: Lisa A. Altman, 43, of Jaguar Drive, Boardman, was charged with fraudulently returning a $30 pair of pants to Walmart for a refund.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 50 block of Shields Road was found with three slashed tires. The damage estimate was $300.

Theft: Two women reportedly stole two men’s T-shirts from Dollar General, 5953 South Ave.

Criminal damaging: A Leighton Avenue man discovered several wires under the hood had been intentionally cut when he was unable to start his car.

Theft: A woman reported her $400 cellphone stolen while at a Boardman Plaza business.

Domestic violence: Youngstown police handed to township authorities 19-year-old Eric L. Weaver Jr. of Whipple Avenue, Campbell, who was charged after a Sept. 28 situation in which his former girlfriend, of Prestwick Drive, alleged Weaver had twice struck her head, injuring the accuser’s lip, during an argument about their relationship.

Theft: A Southern Boulevard man reported a stereo/compact-disc player, a 12-inch subwoofer and an amplifier missing from his car or home.

Theft: A man and a woman reportedly stole five wristwatches from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road, for a loss of about $1,850.

Citation: Brendon M. Orourke, 24, was pulled over near an Operating a Vehicle Impaired Task Force detail on Midlothian Boulevard and cited on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired. Orourke, of Berkshire Drive, Youngstown, had a blood-alcohol count of 0.090, which slightly exceeds Ohio’s 0.08 legal limit.

Theft/drugs: Authorities charged Lance Hundley of Cleveland Street, Youngstown, with theft after a fraudulent return had taken place at Walmart. Hundley, 46, also faced a felony drug-abuse charge when, police alleged, he had three over-the-counter pills in his pocket. Hundley also was issued a minor-misdemeanor citation charging him with marijuana possession.

Arrest: Matthew P. Kamoda, 28, was taken into custody after authorities had pulled him over near Midlothian Boulevard. Kamoda, of Raccoon Road, Austintown, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired.

Theft: A man took a bottle of vodka from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Citation: Officers responded to an alarm at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant, where they handed Molly M. Hill, 21, of Morrow Drive, Cortland, a minor-misdemeanor citation charging her with having a small quantity of suspected marijuana.

Theft: She’lae M. Bailey, 18, of Youngstown State University in Youngstown, was charged with stealing two articles of women’s clothing valued at $108 from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 4000 block of Stratmore Avenue and removed a $100 global-positioning-system unit from a vehicle.

Theft: A man in his 40s reportedly short-changed a cashier $50 while at Walmart.

Citation: After pulling him over near Lake Park Road, police issued a minor-misdemeanor citation to 41-year-old Edward L. Johnson of Mathews Road, Boardman, charging him with having a small quantity of suspected marijuana.

Theft: A $120 MP3 player was removed from a car in the 4000 block of Stratmore Avenue.

Burglary: Occurred in the 6800 block of Southern Boulevard. Stolen from the residence were a 62-inch flat-screen TV and a touch-screen computer.

Theft: Authorities charged 24-year-old Sean P. Hilbert with theft after alleging Hilbert, of Canfield Road, Canfield, had stolen $281 worth of clothing from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall.

Citation: While investigating a vehicular accident in the 400 block of Orlo Lane, officers cited Amanda D. Link, 26, of Shields Road, Boardman, on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired after saying Link’s blood-alcohol count was 0.162, slightly more than twice the legal limit.
