ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave. There will be a continental breakfast and business meeting, and professor Alan M. Jacobs of the department of geological and environmental science at Youngstown State University will present “Consulting with Three Dictators and the Mafia.” Luanna Jacobs and Regina Jenkins are hostesses. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Johnny’s Restaurant, 7807 Market St., Boardman. The group will celebrate its 54th anniversary with the theme “Splash of Italian.” Anthony Horvath of Struthers will entertain with the songs of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and other classics. A meal will consist of roasted chicken, beef tips and noodles, pasta and meatballs, roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, tossed salad, fresh-baked bread, hot peppers and oil, coffee, tea or soda, and cake for dessert. CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Campbell Memorial January and June Classes of 1950 will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at Bedford Trails Golf Course in Coitsville.

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1963 will meet for lunch at noon Nov. 18 at Station Square Ristorante, 4250 Belmont Ave., Liberty. Guests are always welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Landmark Restaurant, 7424 Market St., Boardman. Classmates and guests are invited.

CLUBS

Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at Antone’s Banquet Center in Boardman. Wayne Motts, CEO of the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pa., will discuss “Historical Treasures of the National Civil War Museum.” Cost of dinner and the meeting is $14 per person. Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, will have a Nov. 9 luncheon at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The program will be a Country Fair fundraiser. Doors open at 10 a.m. for viewing of basket auction items and others to be auctioned by Marty Campana. The meeting and luncheon will take place from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mary Haddad of Adrian, Mich., will discuss “Survival and Success in the Search for Significance.” Reservations are required by Thursday by calling 330-539-5837 or 330-638-6508. Cancellations are required. Stonecroft is a nondenominational organization that reaches out to all women across the country and around the world. GUILDS

Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following neighborhood group meetings: A.S.G. @Joann Etc., Boardman store, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Johnny’s on Market Street in Boardman for a holiday dinner; bring a $10 gift to exchange. LEAGUES

Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Glenellen Assisted Living, 9661 Market St., Boardman. Take items to donate to Operation Christmas Child; BPJWL Juniorettes will be assembling shoeboxes for the program in late November. Hostesses Debbie Chop, Linda Crish and Sperry Rongone will prepare food items from their heritage to serve at the meeting. Pampered Chef will be the club fundraiser. Members can take guests for the demonstration. The group is open to women over 18 in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties who are interested in community service.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Poland Library will meet Tuesday at the library, 311 S. Main St. Coffee hour will begin at 9:30 a.m., and a watercolor painting demonstration by Sue Anzellotti-Ray and meeting will follow. Hostesses are Susan Beil, Pauline Ciavarella and Mary Jane Pavelko. Take books, magazines, CDs and DVDs for donation to the Poland Friends book cart. Meetings are open to the public, and new members are welcome. Yearly membership is $10.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 Main St., Greenville, Pa.; 10 a.m. Wednesday at Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 855 Howland-Wilson Road, Howland; and noon Nov. 7 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 W. Alzheimer’s Association Caregivers Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northside Medical Center, Medical Office Building A, 500 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown. R-Weigh Weight Support Groups will meet on Mondays at First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem. Afternoon weigh-in is from 1 to 1:30 p.m., and the meeting will follow at 1:45. Evening weigh-ins are from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 6:15. The first meeting is free. Guests are welcome. The club is an all-volunteer nonprofit group of women helping women to lose weight. All money paid in goes back to the members in incentives to lose weight.
