Tuesday, October 27, 2015

POLAND — Briarfield Assisted Living this morning will break ground on the Inn at Poland Way, an 89-unit assisted-living facility that will open next year.

The $12 million project will add the 76,000-square-foot facility to Poland Way, a new street off of U.S. Route 224 near Clingan Road.

Of the units, 25 will be dedicated to dementia care.

"Briarfield Healthcare's intent is to design and build senior living facilities that meet a need," said Edward Reese, CEO of EDM Management and Briarfield Healthcare Centers, in a release.

"Studies show that The Inn at Poland Way will do just that. With 64 assisted living units and 25 memory care beds under one roof, the facility will provide full-service amenities in a safe environment that promotes aging in a place for the seniors of Poland, as well as Struthers, Campbell, Lowellville and western Pa.," he said.

Opening of the facility will create 50 full-time jobs, company representatives said.
