UPDATE | I-680 reopened after accident

BOARDMAN — Interstate 680 southbound has been reopened after a multivehicle accident on the interstate between U.S. Route 224 and Western Reserve Road. The accident resulted in “significant” injuries, according to township fire department officials.

A medical helicopter was used to transport injured parties to a hospital.

The accident involved multiple cars and a motorcycle, fire department sources said.
