Monday, October 26, 2015

BOARDMAN — A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 680 today resulted in serious injuries to the driver of a motorcycle that, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported, was hit by a commercial truck.

The motorcycle, driven by Donald Davis, 72, of Hubbard, was hit by the truck, driven by Carl Buhn Jr., 66, of New Waterford, when the truck changed lanes while traveling southbound on 680. The motorcycle then veered off the left side of the road and hit the median; Davis was ejected.

Davis was transported to an area hospital by medical helicopter. Buhn did not sustain any injuries.

The patrol said the accident remains under investigation.
