Two sought in Highland Dairy robbery in Girard
GIRARD
Police are searching for two men after an armed robbery at Highland Dairy on North Highland Avenue reported Saturday.
An employee told police he was robbed at gunpoint between 10:12 and 10:16 p.m. by two unknown men. The men were thin and wore dark clothing, gloves and Halloween masks, according to a police report. One man was between 6 feet-four and 6-feet-six inches tall and the other was between five-feet-seven and five-feet-nine inches tall, according to a police report. The report states that the shorter man had a black semi-automatic handgun. Police estimate the suspects took between $3,500 and $4,000 from two cash resisters in addition to five cartons of Newport cigarettes.
