YOUNGSTOWN

Dr. Paul Wright will speak on “Mother Teresa’s Prescription: Finding Happiness and Peace in Service” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Columba Cathedral hall, 144 W. Wood St.

The event is co-sponsored by the Catholic Medical Association of the Diocese of Youngstown (Lourdes Guild), the Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses and the Office of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Life of the Diocese of Youngstown.

Dr. Wright’s presentation will be followed by a reception and book signing.

There is no cost, but donations will be accepted.

Faith Fellowship Church of God, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., will host Teen Challenge Choir during its service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

All Souls Day

A Mass is planned at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 3900 Villa Maria Road, Lowellville, in observance of All Souls Day.

Refreshments will follow.

In other All Souls Day services, opening prayers will be at 1:45 p.m. and the services at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at All Souls Cemetery, 3823 Hoagland Blackstub Road, Cortland; Calvary Cemetery, 248 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown; and Resurrection Cemetery, 300 N. Raccoon Road, Austintown.

Safety forces

COITSVILLE

Victory Christian Center will honor members of local and regional safety forces during services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday at the Coitsville Campus, 3899 McCartney Road.

The service will acknowledge and pray for Valley police, fire, emergency medical technicians, ambulance workers and crisis response units and departments. Bishop David L. Thomas will conclude the service with the third installment of his current sermon series titled “One Another.”
