Campbell woman will be arraigned after biting officer, damaging police car

CAMPBELL — A Campbell woman faces multiple charges including assault on a police officer, endangering children and driving under the influence following her arrest Monday evening.

Police stopped Kelly Clark, 35, of Youngstown near Dairy Queen on Route 422 after a witness flagged an officer down about an erratic driver. Clark's 9-year-old son was in the back of her car, police said.

A police report states that Clark failed a series of sobriety tests, had open alcoholic containers in her vehicle and that she kicked and spat at officers.

Clark was transported from the Campbell City Jail to the Mahoning County Jail where she bit a deputy, according to a police report.

Clark is also charged with vandalism to government property, having broken the window of a police car, according the report.

She will be arraigned today in Campbell Municipal Court.
