Woman had tool to aid in shoplifting, police say

A woman will be arraigned Tuesday in Girard Municipal Court on misdemeanor charges of possessing of drug paraphernalia and possession of criminal tools. Police responded to a call Thursday about a woman attempting to shoplift from Walmart on Goldie Road. A police report states, in addition to stolen clothing, Loni Capan, 28, of Youngstown had wire cutters commonly used to remove anti-theft detection devices, a used narcotics bundle and a suspected snorting straw.
