Ohio Statehouse tree-lighting will kick off holiday season Tuesday

The Ohio Statehouse kicks off its calendar of seasonal holiday activities Tuesday with a festival and the lighting of its historically-decorated tree.

A short program welcoming Santa and Mrs. Claus will be followed by refreshments, arts and crafts, games and special performances. These include appearances by local choirs, Lou Seal and Crash from the Columbus Clippers, a magician, story-telling and a free photo stations.

All events are free and open to the public. Paid parking is available at the Statehouse garage.
