Thursday crash leads to charges for Campbell man
CAMPBELL — A man was charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension and failure to control a vehicle following a crash Thursday at about 8 p.m. near Lettie Avenue.
According to police, officers arrived to find a car rolled over onto its side and the suspected driver walking in the grass nearby.
Herman Taylor, Jr., 46, of Campbell had slurred speech, smelled of alcohol and could not accurately say what day of the week it was, police said.
Taylor was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He declined to take a blood-alcohol content test.
