UPDATE: Power restored to most by 9

Power has been restored to the majority of FirstEnergy customers who lost power in Mahoning and Trumbull counties this Thanksgiving Day.

As of 6 p.m., over 6,000 customers, most of whom live in Cornersburg, were without power. By 9 p.m., power had been restored to all but 24 of those customers, according to information FirstEnergy’s website.

Power is expected to be restored for the remaining customers by 11:30 p.m.

FirstEnergy says it is still investigating the cause of the outages.
