Truck hits pole today, causing traffic delays on US 224, outage to Canfield residents

CANFIELD

Traffic will be stopped intermittently on U.S. Route 224 and Fairground Boulevard for the repair of damaged guidewires on a telephone pole which caused a power outage to hundreds of residents in Canfield.

Crews from Ohio Edison are working on the repair, but report the process will take four to six hours to complete.

Motorists should expect traffic delays or stops.

The outage was caused by a semi-truck striking the wires on the pole earlier this morning,.
