Kevin Story charged with assault, domestic violence, menacing

A man was arraigned today in Girard Municipal Court on charges including felonious assault, domestic violence and aggravated menacing.

Liberty police officers responded Tuesday to a complaint of the theft of a car at Colonial Drive. Kevin Story, 45, of Liberty told police that his live-in girlfriend took his car. However, according to a police report, multiple people living at the residence, including the girlfriend's teenage daughter and the daughter’s boyfriend, told officers that Story’s girlfriend had permission to take the car. They also said that Story had been drinking and that, on Monday night, he had threatened them with a handgun.

Another of the girlfriend's daughters told police Story threw several objects at her and threatened to kill everyone present, including an infant, saying if they called the police, he had enough ammunition for a four-hour stand-off, according to the report.

Officers seized the handgun and ammunition and booked Story into Trumbull County Jail.
