OVI Task Force plans Thanksgiving Eve blitz

CANFIELD — The Mahoning County Operating a Vehicle while Impaired Task Force will conduct a saturation patrol blitz on Wednesday – Thanksgiving Eve – in Mahoning County.

The blitz will include police officers from participating agencies of the Task Force, and will target a specific location in Mahoning County that will be announced later.

Thanksgiving Eve has historically been a night that sees an increase of motor vehicles on the roadways as people celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

OVI Task Force officers encourage people to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday in a responsible manner by making arrangements to get home safely if they plan on drinking by using taxis, designated drivers and services such as DD For Hire.
