Hearings begin for accused forgers


NEWTON FALLS A preliminary hearing has started in Newton Falls Municipal Court regarding five young men charged with possession of criminal tools. A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol testified that he made a Nov. 12 traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike in Braceville Township after observing two improper lane changes. He smelled marijuana, and a later search of the vehicle uncovered devices used to make credit and identification cards, Trooper Brandon Miller said. Four of the five told jail officials they were born in the United States, one said he was born in Kenya. Their names are Said Abu, Jibril Abdiselam, 24, Mohameddeg Hassan, 27, Mohamed Mahmoud, 26, Zakaria Warsame, 25.
