Film about Down syndrome to be screened Tuesday at McDonough Museum

YOUNGSTOWN — A free screening of the film “Kelly’s Hollywood” will be screened at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonough Museum of Art auditorium. The museum is at 525 Wick Ave., across from the Butler Institute of American Art, on the Youngstown State University campus.

The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with director Brian Donovan, the writer and producer of the film and the brother of the subject.

The documentary is about Kelly Donovan, a young woman with Down syndrome. It tells the story of her quest to make it in Hollywood and the unbreakable bond she has with her brother.

The screening is sponsored by the Down syndrome Association of the Valley.
