In attendance were Reverend Robin Woodberry of Mahoning Valley Association of Churches, executive vice president Andrew Lipkin of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation and chairperson Randa Shabayak of Islamic Society of Greater Youngstown.

The speakers included Reverend Monsignor Robert J. Siffrin, Vicar of the Youngstown Diocese, who gave the Invocation, Dr. George Beelen, Master of Ceremonies and Reverend Morris W. Lee who gave the Benediction.

Artist Phyllis Beard and Siffrin made unique presentations to Sister Jerome.

According to event organizer, attorney James Pazol, Sister Jerome’s Poor is a last-resort program to help working poor families in emergencies and needy college students striving to complete college and get into a good job.

The program has served more than 400 poor families in the past year and is enabling 10 city college students meet the demands of college life and graduate into the workforce.
