Woman indicted in stabbing death of live-in boyfriend

Thursday, May 28, 2015

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury today indicted a 19-year-old Maplewood Court woman on charges related to the city’s latest homicide.

Autumn Hines, 19, faces two counts of murder and charges of voluntary manslaughter and felonious assault for the May 18 stabbing death of her live-in boyfriend, Rashad Bailey, 23.

Police said the two had fought before Bailey was stabbed. Reports said she told police at the scene she stabbed Bailey after he punched her in the mouth.

Police had been called to the apartment they shared several times since March for fight calls, but detectives said she never followed up to file charges on her boyfriend.

Hines has been in the county jail on $100,000 bond since her arrest.
