The Steelers have signed Jason Worilds’ possible replacement.

The team announced on Thursday that they have inked first-round pick outside linebacker Bud Dupree to a four-year deal.

Dupree, out of Kentucky, started 38 out of 47 games for the Wildcats. The linebacker put up impressive numbers in the SEC, compiling 247 tackles and 23.5 sacks during his collegiate career. His 23.5 sacks at Kentucky is the second most in school history.

The No. 22 overall pick fills an obvious need in Pittsburgh’s defense, lacking pass rushers with the departure of Worlids. Jarvis Jones is projected to start, but the linebacker has only three sacks in his career.

chicago

Illinois-Chicago rallied with three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to steal a victory from the Youngstown State baseball team, 6-5, on Thursday evening at Curtis Granderson Stadium.

The rally came after YSU’s Shane Willoughby hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie. Penguins closer Anthony Konders came on and retired the first batter, but the next seven batters all reached base. There were only two hits in the inning.

Youngstown State and UIC will play game two of the series today at noon.
