Stations on the Green

CANFIELD

Canfield United Methodist Church congregation is again taking the Good Friday message to the streets.

The community is invited to experience Christ’s journey to the cross through a visual display of the Stations of the Cross displayed around the Green in Canfield from 5 to 7 p.m. Good Friday.

Church members have designed and created visual interpretations of 10 Scriptures that follow Jesus’ journey from betrayal to death. Displays include found objects, photography, collage and more.

Participants will receive a brochure outlining the stations and the accompanying Scriptures.

The Rev. Susan Brown, pastor, and other volunteers will be available for prayer or conversation.

Easter program

YOUNGSTOWN

Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., will present a spiritual Easter program at 3:30 p.m. April 5, Easter Sunday, on the theme “The Great Resurrection of Christ.”

Speakers will be Pastor James Bowie and ministers Yvonne Baker, Yvonne Hobson and Jeffrey Stanford. There will be musical selections and mime.

Healing service

CANFIELD

Lifecare Ministry Center, 5357 S. Raccoon Road, will conduct a miracle and healing service at 10:30 a.m. April 5, Easter Sunday. There will be laying of hands on the sick and anointing them with oil.

Prayer cloths will be available.

Re-enactment set

YOUNGSTOWN

Four Mile Run Christian Church, 710 N. Four Mile Run Road, will present a live re-enactment of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting of “The Last Supper” at 7 p.m. Good Friday. For information, call 330-799-7831.

Men’s choir

YOUNGSTOWN

The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley Men’s Choir will sing at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday at Faith Fellowship Church of God, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd. Regular services are 10:45 a.m. Sundays, Recovery Ministries at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Family Training Ministries at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

A Good Friday service will take place at 7 p.m. when “The Passion of Christ,” will be shown followed by worship and Communion. The Rev. Jonathan Mitchell is pastor.

The Rev. Josephine Haracpio will conduct a Passover Seder (light meal) April 6 for the Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries.

The event will take place at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road. Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the dinner at 7.

Musical to be staged

YOUNGSTOWN

Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave., will present an Easter musical at 6 p.m. Good Friday, next Saturday and Easter Sunday.

Concert at church

GIRARD

Rino Angelini and Friends will present a free concert at 2 p.m. Palm Sunday at St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St.

The theme is “Journey Thru Holy Week and the Paschal Mystery.”

Angelini has been a full-time music minister for 30 years.
