CAMPBELL — Two Youngstown residents face charges of aggravated robbery for an attack Wednesday evening on a 73-year-old Poland man at Roosevelt Park.

According to the report, witnesses and the victim told police two men struck the victim from behind. They continued beating the man while he was on the ground, and took his wallet. They fled in a gold Pontiac sedan.

The report says police investigations led them to Nathaniel Thompson Jr., 18, of Youngstown, and his girlfriend, Sidney Figinsky, 20, also of Youngstown, who allegedly drove the vehicle based on witness accounts.

Both were taken to the Mahoning County jail on the robbery charges.

The victim suffered heavy bleeding from the head and bruises on his knee and was taken to the hospital.
