The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host its April power luncheon, a free networking opportunity, at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, 366 Niles-Cortland Road NE, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 28. Leadership seminar

CANFIELD

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host its first seminar of a three-part series that focuses on leadership and overcoming associated challenges in 2015. The seminar will take place at Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Road, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. April 21.

Maria Stevens, founder and owner of Stevens Coaching and Consulting LLC, will share core leadership principles and proven strategies to overcome challenges that business owners may face this year.

Stevens’ clients have included Fortune 1000 companies, startups, entrepreneurs and hundreds of business professionals. The cost is $20 for chamber members and $30 for nonmembers. Call 330-744-2131, ext. 21, to make a reservation by April 15.

Pop-up shops on way

Vintie Design Co., a handmade shop, 20 W. Liberty St., is collaborating with two other local business startups in the Mahoning Valley to host pop-up shops this spring. The events bring local creative businesses and consumers together to enjoy design, fashion and culture. Culture House Coffee Roasters will be at Vintie Design on Saturday to serve single-origin coffee roasted in Girard.

On Saturday, Vintie hosted a pop-up shop featuring Lola Beans Boutique in Poland.

Future pop-up shops at Vintie featuring Lola Beans Boutique and Culture House Coffee Roasters will take place April 18 and May 16.

Smart Start Series

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Business Incubator will host its first session of its Smart Start Series on Design, 241 W. Federal St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The first session will feature graphic and interactive designer RJ Thompson discussing the role design has in a company’s past, present and future marketing initiatives.

Participants will learn the top fundamental visual concepts that guide the discipline of design and the target audience’s expectations, understand the importance of color theory in companies’ visual communications, how to use creative problem-solving and design thinking in your company’s culture, and how to work with graphic designers on branding, marketing and product development.

Salem cleanup

SALEM

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and the Salem Beautification Committee are in need of volunteers for its downtown spring cleanup. Volunteers will meet at McCulloch Park on East State Street at 9 a.m. April 18. Those interested should bring brooms, dust pans, leaf blowers, clippers, rakes and wheelbarrows.
