Thursday, March 19, 2015

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Firefighters in Toledo say 13 dogs have died in a house fire.

The occupants of the home weren’t home when the fire broke out early today. Neighbors say they called the home’s owner “the dog lady.”

The neighbors tell The Blade newspaper that the couple who lived in the home had several different breeds of dogs and walked them often.

Investigators don’t know what caused the fire. Firefighters were able to rescue two puppies from the house.
