Mom who left kids in car seats at home gets 2 years in prison

A woman who was accused of leaving her children alone in their car seats watching television while she worked the overnight shift at a nursing home was sentenced to two years in prison in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court today.

Kacee Moser, 26, was sentenced on two felony counts of child endangering by Judge Maureen Sweeney.

Police said Moser, of Beaver Township, left the children, 3 years and 9 months at the time, on June 16, 2013.

Police said when the children were found, officers went to the nursing home to question Moser and she ran away. She turned herself into police two days later.

Moser was given credit for 342 days she has served in jail during the case.
