Youngstown swears in new safety officers

YOUNGSTOWN

The city swore in three new firefighters, a new police officer and promoted two firefighters at a ceremony today at the Central Fire Station on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Sworn in as a police officer was LaCameron Workman. The three new firefighters are David Bernat, Scott Barton and Samuel Lucurell.

Promoted was Leslie Murphy from lieutenant to captain and Charles Murphy from captain to battalion chief.
