“Rizzoli & Isles” (9 p.m., TNT): Here’s an episode that just might get its hooks into you: When a tournament-leading angler is killed on “Rizzoli & Isles,” Jane and Maura are plunged into the high-stakes world of competitive bass fishing.

“Leepu & Pitbull” (10 p.m., History): A mechanic and a car designer work together to totally trick out beat-up vehicles, like tonight’s 1981 Camaro.

“Another Period” (10:30 P.M., COMEDY CENTRAL): This miniseries parody finds Natasha Leggero, Riki Lindome and Paget Brewster portraying the Bellacourts, a trio of wealthy sisters in the early 20th Century. Tonight, they get a visit from Helen Keller.

‘Preacher Man’ film at Encore Theater

The film “Preacher Man” will be screened at 7 p.m. Saturday at Encore Theater in Great East Plaza. Admission is $10.

C.L.L. Woodson of Milwaukee, who wrote, directed and produced the film, will be present at the screening, and will accept promotional packages from actors.

The cast of an upcoming Christian mini-series drama titled “2Real4U,” from Youngstown-based evangelist and writer-director Earlina Gilford-Weaver, also will be present.

Superhero event for kids at ballroom

The Superhero Experience will be presented at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. July 19 at Hippodrome Ballroom, 150 High St.

The event offers children the chance to meet some of their favorite superheroes. It will include a themed buffet, a meet and great with an array of superheroes, an interactive “superhero academy,” a superhero stunt demonstration, a lesson about real-life superheroes and more. Kids are urged to come dressed as their favorite hero.

General-admission tickets are $25. An upgrade package including a personalized Superhero Academy certificate and a power pack will be an additional $10 per child.

Blue Oyster Cult coming to Ledges

Blue Oyster Cult, with David Allan Coe, will come to Nelson Ledges Quarry Park the weekend of July 10-12 for the Legends of Rock festival. Blue Oyster Cult will perform July 11, and Coe on July 10. Admission is $75 for Friday through Sunday ($60 presale), and $55 for Saturday through Sunday ($50 presale). Go to nlqp.com. Camping is included in price.
