Hospice to offer grief camp for kids

PULASKI, PA.

Hospice of the Valley grief camp is a day camp for children 8 to 15 years old who have experienced the recent death of a loved one.

It will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the educational building on the campus of Villa Maria, 2105 Evergreen Road.

The goal of camp is to teach children coping skills related to loss as well as to interact with those who have had similar experiences. All activities are designed and led by trained professionals.

The camp is free and open to children suffering a loss in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Meals and snacks are provided daily.
