Ohio Central East Warren District II will present a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. James church of God in Christ, 1838 Main St., where superintendent Dr. Melvin Howard Sr. is host pastor.

Series of sermons

BOARDMAN

This summer, Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., where the Rev. Pamela Buzalka is pastor, will offer a series of sermons on “hot topics” from biblical and United Methodist perspectives. Worship is at 4:30 p.m. Saturdays in the courtyard and at 10 a.m. Sundays in the sanctuary. Today and Sunday, “Love & Marriage in the Bible: Do We Really Want Biblical Family Values?;” June 27 and 28, “This Land is My Land: Conquer or Cultivate?;” July 5, “Social Media: Dehumanizing Others One Status Update at a Time;” July 11 and 12, “Profits … or Prophets? “Cents” and Salvation;” July 18 and 19, “And Justice for All: Restoration or Retribution?;” and July 25 and 26, “War & Peace: Support the Troops Like Jesus Would Have.”

Revive will present a concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., in anticipation of a new service in the fall, iFire.
