Grand jury indicts man for November murder

YOUNGSTOWN

A Mahoning County grand jury Thursday indicted an 18-year-old East Philadelphia Avenue man in a shooting death in November.

Marquan White is accused of killing 20-year-old Antwon Lee Martinez of Youngstown. The grand jury indicted him on murder and aggravated-murder charges.

Martinez was found shot to death early Nov. 17 on a sidewalk in the 2500 block of Guadalupe Avenue on the North Side. Police think he had been lying there for several hours before someone noticed his body covered by snow.

White was on the run for several days before being caught by police Dec. 30.

The grand jury also indicted White on an aggravated-robbery charge from a July 3 robbery last year.

Also indicted on two felony counts of burglary and a misdemeanor count of child endangering was Anthony Divencenzo, 32, of Ferndale Avenue. He is accused of breaking into a house across the street from his home March 28 and April 14. During the April 14 burglary, police said he left a 4-month-old child he was watching alone in his home.

Divencenzo has faced several burglary charges in the past.

Marquis Higgs, 21, Illinois Avenue, illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility and falsification.

James M. Tinker, 28, Westminster Avenue, Austintown, violation of a protection order, tampering with evidence, carrying concealed weapons, trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in marijuana with forfeiture specifications and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Karissa P. Johnson, 19, Paisley Avenue, Austintown, passing bad checks.

Steven Johnson, 27, Elm Street, Grove City, Pa., possession of heroin, possession of drug-abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Matthew E. Cole, 21, Laird Avenue Southeast, Warren, theft.

James E. Davis, 48, Market Street, North Lima, possession of cocaine.

Marvin C. Reese Jr., 23, Lansdowne Boulevard, aggravated possession of drugs, two counts possession of drugs, two counts operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a tinted-windows violation.

Keiondre Black, 20, Lexington Avenue, possession of cocaine.

David Ferrell, 28, Lafayette Avenue, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Shawn Fletcher, 28, Maranatha Court, possession of heroin.

James Fuschillo, 53, Brownlee Avenue, felonious assault.

Raymond Johnson, 23, Willis Avenue, theft, carrying concealed weapons and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Gary Robertson, 42, LaSalle Avenue, resisting arrest.

Rory Stephenson, 33, Roslyn Avenue, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drugs and carrying concealed weapons with forfeiture specifications.

Jerome Turner, 29, Fairgreen Avenue, theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.
