Girard police investigating several thefts


GIRARD — Police are investigating thefts of several items from various homes and at a football camp.

A 71 year-old Las Vegas, Nev., man reported items stolen on Tuesday from a rental property he owns on Forsythe Avenue. The items, estimated at $1,000, included a portable dish washer, a weed wacker and various garden hand tools.

A Howard Street resident Wednesday reported a stolen Sony 60-inch flat-screen Smart TV estimated at $1,500. The resident told police he noticed the TV was missing after a side door to his home had been left open while his daughter and her friend were inside the house.

A 17-year old Pittsburgh resident reported that an estimated $900 worth of items were stolen from his gym bag while he was attending football camp Wednesday at Arrowhead Stadium on Highland Avenue. The items were a black iPhone 5S, a Visa debit card, a pair of Nike running shoes and a wallet that contained $120 in cash.
