Bristolville woman injured in West Farmington traffic accident

WEST FARMINGTON — A Bristolville woman was flown by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital on Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle, head-on crash on state Route 88.

Cynthia L. Foder, 46, was driving a pickup truck westbound on Route 88 when she passed other traffic and into standing water on the road at 12:15 p.m.

She lost control, sliding off the right side of the road, and then sliding left of center into the path of a dump truck, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The truck driver, G. Edward Payne, 59, of Rome, was not injured. Fodor was not using a seat belt. Alcohol and speed were not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
