Hubbard councilman to run for state rep seat held by O'Brien

HUBBARD — Hubbard Councilman Ben Kyle, D-1st, will challenge state Rep. Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-63rd, in next year’s Democratic primary for the incumbent’s Ohio House seat. O’Brien has served in the House since Jan. 1, 2011. If O’Brien wins next year, he cannot seek re-election in 2018 because of the state’s term-limits law.
