Donate milk to help kids this summer

YOUNGSTOWN — The Great American Milk Drive is taking place in June, National Dairy Month.

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is uniting with dairy farmers and milk companies on Tuesday asking area residents to donate milk to help kids this summer.

Donations of milk may be brought to the food bank, 2805 Salt Springs Road, through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

People can also join the drive by donating at milklife.com/give and follow the conversation online with #MilkDrive. A gift of as little as $5 will deliver a gallon of milk to a family in need. By entering a person’s ZIP code, the donor can ensure that milk is delivered to a local Feeding America food bank his community.
