True Simon gets national contract

YOUNGSTOWN

True Simon LLC, a joint venture between True Inspection Services of Urbana, Ohio, and national commercial roofing company, Simon Roofing, has been named among four approved contractors for roof repair and replacement contracts within the Air Force’s Northeast region. The national contract is capped at $325 million for a five-year period.

Simon Roofing formed the joint venture with True Inspection Services in April 2013 after a two-year relationship as part of SBA’s Mentor-Prot g Program.

Retail space openings

WARREN

Warren Redevelopment and Planning has retail space on Courthouse Square, 124 N. Park Ave., available for businesses to rent.

The space has been transformed from a radio station to an eight-shop square. The shops can be rented for $100 to $250 a month.

The first tenant will be Manda Bees Headbands, which sells nonslip head-bands.

The cooperative has space for up to seven more businesses, which will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. For information, call Tony Iannucci, director, at 330-841-2566.

Chamber power luncheon planned

NILES

The Youngstown/ Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Power Luncheon” at Vernon’s Cafe, 720 Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25.

The lunch hour provides networking opportunities. Members will order from a limited menu at their expense. Registration is limited to 25 and one representative per company.

Armstrong ranked No. 1 in survey

Butler, PA.

Local cable and Internet provider Armstrong was recently ranked No. 1 in a video and Internet survey by Articles in Fierce Cable, The Consumerist and Consumer Reports.

Armstrong ranked No. 2 for telephone service.

The Butler, Pa., company provides service to customers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Maryland. It is the 14th-largest cable-television provider in the U.S.

Trade show offers business sessions

LISBON

The Columbiana County Business Expo & Trade Show will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. July 28 at the Columbiana County Career & Technical Center, 9364 state Route 45.

The event is free, and there is free parking. Session include: Cyber Liability; The 8 Essentials of Innovation; Social Media & Your Business; and the Affordable Care Act.
