Angels of Easter Seals welcomes new president, members

CANFIELD

Debbie Wilson was recently installed as the 2015-2016 president of Angels for Easter Seals. She lives in Canfield with her husband, Keith, and their three children.

Before moving to the area in 1986, Wilson was a registered nurse in Cleveland. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Youngstown, a former board member of Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance and Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley and a former member of Market Street PTA.

Also serving on Angels of Easter Seals executive board for 2015-2016 are Shelly LaBerto, first vice president; Jacqueline Kadilak, second vice president; Joyce Dowell, treasurer; Barb Kuzma, recording secretary; Kathy Carroll, corresponding secretary; and Lynn Sahli, past president.

The following new members were welcomed: Jennifer Reider, Ave Sofranko and Lisa Thomas.

Last year, Angels raised $109,500 to help local individuals with disabilities and special needs. They began fundraising efforts 38 years ago.

Events planned for the future include: Magic of an Angels Christmas, Nov. 21; Holiday Brunch and Sweet Shoppe, Dec. 9; and Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon, May 5, 2016.
