Ohio EPA on scene at petroleum oil spill in Brookfield
BROOKFIELD — The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is on scene near 2601 Orangeville Road Northeast to contain and investigate an petroleum spill into the Shenango River that flows into Mercer County.
Linda Oros, a spokeswoman for the OEPA, said they received the call at 9:40 a.m. A crude oil storage tank, which was rusted, had leaked a petroleum fluid into Shenango tributary.
