Tuesday, July 21, 2015

WARREN — Timothy Miller, 48, the man who barricaded himself in his house at 1037 Southern Blvd. on Monday afternoon and refused to come out for about four hours, was charged with three criminal offenses today.

He faces felony inducing panic and misdemeanor discharging firearms and using weapons while intoxicated. It’s unknown when he will be arraigned. He was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation Monday night.

Family members called police at about 4:30 p.m. after hearing a gunshot in his house. Police called the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team to assist.

Miller walked out of the house and was taken into custody about 8:50 p.m. His only injuries were bruises resulting from bean bags being fired at him to try to stun him so he could be taken into custody.
