The City of Canfield celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Fourth of July festivities with family fun, food, games and of course, the parade, with thousands of people attending the celebration. The theme for the event was A Golden Tradition.

Throngs of people lined the streets around the Green to get a glimpse of the participants of the parade, including Grand Marshall Rocco Fumi, Canfield High School Band, political candidates, 4-H clubs, Mahoning County Jr. Fair Board, Canfield Soccer Club, Canfield Little Cardinals, numerous clowns and classic cars, Canfield Local Schools board members, Marine Corps League and more.

Before the parade, the Firecracker Four Mile Run and Kid’s Foot Race took place, along with the Canfield Junior Women’s League Bicycle Decorating Contest.

Following the parade, children’s games were offered on the North Green, along with a rock climbing wall, dunk tank, petting zoo and pony rides.
