BOARDMAN

Three men from Toledo face felony charges after township police said they used counterfeit money at an area business.

Raymond Armstrong, 55, Myron Haskins Jr., 25, and Lafoe White, 23, were arrested Friday on one misdemeanor charge apiece of obstructing official business and one charge each of criminal simulation and possession of criminal tools, both of which are felonies of the fifth degree.

Township police responded to Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, late Thursday after an employee reported that three men tried to buy a printer ink cartridge and a bottle of soda using counterfeit bills. The suspects reportedly gave the cashier five fake $10 bills.

When the cashier denied the purchase, the group left the store and fled the area.

Another officer on patrol then located the suspects’ vehicle at a hotel at an area hotel, where he found the men in a room.
