YSU prez Jim Tressel to speak Friday at Lordstown High School

LORDSTOWN — Youngstown State University President Jim Tressel will attend a recognition ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday to celebrate the achievements of Lordstown High School students.

Among them are MacKenzie Guthrie, who has been named a National Merit Scholar Finalist.

State Rep. Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-65th, also will attend the program, which will be in the high school’s Crawford Auditorium. The program will take place regardless of whether school is canceled due to inclement weather.
